Disability Accommodations & Access During Programs
All START sessions involve a lot of walking around campus. If you have limited mobility, whether temorary (i.e. crutches, cast, etc.) or permanent and are concerned about getting around campus during your START session please give New Student Programs & Family Outreach a call (541) 737-7627.
During the First Year START program all students must take a Math Placement Test. If you require testing accomodations please contact New Student Programs & Family Outreach prior to your START session to ensure that accomdation can be made.
OSU's Policy and Guidelines for Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability states:
"...no qualified person shall, solely by reason of disability, be denied access to, participation in, or the benefits of, any program or activity provided by the University. Each qualified person shall receive the reasonable accommodations needed to ensure equal access to employment, educational opportunities, programs, and activities in the most integrated setting..."
Students and family members participating in START or CONNECT week programs, who will need accommodations for a disability in order to participate in the program should contact:

Telecommunications for the Deaf, Persons with Hearing Loss or a Speech Disability
Purple Communications' (formerly GoAmerica) online relay service is an easy way for people who have hearing loss or speech disabilities to make a call, and never miss a word.
