What is Art?
According to Google Art is, "the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture.
The Oregon State University of Art is a progressive community of artists, designers, historians, students, and scholars. They are a center for visual arts within a major research institution, where the contemporary is created while drawing upon tradition. Their community is engaged in critical thinking, imaginative problem solving, and contemporary theory, while working in a dynamic and supportive environment which encourages individuality, collaboration, interdisciplinarity, and cultural diversity. Art students at OSU develop high standards, self-reliance, and a motivation for life-long learning. Overall, the department strives to establish individual artistic lives, and inspire new generations of creative thinkers and practitioners.
